Who are you?
I’m a content writer in my late twenties, born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, where I call home today!
As the proud daughter of immigrants, my upbringing was shaped by my mother’s Japanese heritage, which gave me strong ties to my own cultural roots.
Japanese music has been a meaningful part of my life—a connection to my heritage, a way to keep my language skills alive, and a constant through the highs and lows.
In recent years, it’s been exciting to see J-Pop capture the world’s attention. I’ve been inspired to celebrate many of these incredible artists and their contributions to the Japanese music scene.
This passion led me to create utatune: a space for more listeners to explore the world of Japanese music.
